Red River State Recreation Area is a 1,200-acre urban state park campground in East Grand Forks, Minnesota, built on land reclaimed after the 1997 flood. It features 113 campsites including 85 full-hookup RV sites (electric, water, sewer), electric-only sites, walk-in tent sites, and group camping. Amenities include drinking water, flush and vault toilets, hot showers, dump station, fire rings, picnic tables, playground, picnic areas, boat ramp, fishing pier, and trails. Pets are welcome on a 6-foot leash. The park offers year-round camping with access to biking, walking, fishing, birdwatching, and nearby dining/shopping. Additional Info: - Park hours: 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. - Ranger station: Mon-Fri 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Fri-Sat 9 a.m.-9 p.m. - Quiet hours: 10 p.m.-8 a.m. - Permits required for some activities.
