Red Deer River North Campground

Red Deer River North Campground is a small, primitive campground located in Red Deer River Provincial Recreation Area, 60 km southwest of Sundre on Forestry Trunk Road (Hwy 734) in Alberta's foothills. The campground has 14 family-friendly campsites situated on the north bank of the Red Deer River, providing excellent river access for rafting and experienced canoers and kayakers. Sites are first-come, first-served and available from May through mid-September. Amenities include vault toilets and hand pumps (though water quality is not guaranteed). Firewood is not available, and campers must pack out all garbage. OHVs are permitted on established roadways within the recreation area.
