Designated trailhead with access to trails into Mount Zirkel Wilderness. No developed facilities. Setting is managed forest area. Timberline is at approximately 10,500 feet elevation. Current Colorado ATV/OHV/Snowmobile registration required. Seasonal restrictions to protect big game habitat effectiveness, prevent damage to soils, or allow big game retrieval affect motorized use on many roads and trails in this area. Restrooms are available at this site. No fees required. Additional Info: Access via County Road 20 from Walden area. Road can become muddy and steep; high-clearance four-wheel-drive vehicle recommended.
