Red Bluff Dam and Reservoir is located on the Pecos River in Loving and Reeves counties. Red Bluff Reservoir is 50 miles from Pecos, Texas, and 40 miles from Carlsbad, New Mexico. Red Bluff Reservoir is privately owned and operated by the Red Bluff Water Power Control District. The district operates a park and campground at the southern tip of the reservoir next to the dam. Free camping with no reservations. Additional Info: Primitive campsites available on a first-come, first-served basis with portable toilets. No restrooms or drinking water provided. Operated by Red Bluff Water Power Control District.
