Ranch Rustic Campground is located within Rifle River State Recreation Area, a 4,449-acre natural area in Michigan's lower peninsula near Lupton. The campground features approximately 25 large, rustic campsites nestled along the Rifle River, offering direct access to this gentle waterway known for excellent paddling and fishing opportunities. Each site includes a campfire ring with grill, picnic table, and ample space. The recreation area encompasses 10 no-wake lakes and ponds, including Grousehaven and Devoe Lakes, along with several scenic streams. With 14 miles of interconnected trails, visitors can explore diverse habitats through hiking, mountain biking, and wildlife viewing. As a rustic campground, Ranch offers a more primitive camping experience with vault toilets, drinking water, and no hookups. A Michigan Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry to all state park facilities.
