Rainy Day Campground is located in the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests near Elk City, Idaho. Campsites are situated in open timber on a ridge top, with some spots screened from the road by timber. A toilet and metal fire rings are available. Road access is rough and narrow in places, requiring a high-clearance vehicle with good tires. The campground is free and open year-round. Nearby, visitors can access the Little Salmon River for fishing approximately 2.7 miles away, and the Selway River for fishing and hiking opportunities. The area is less than 30 minutes from Riggins, New Meadows, or McCall for additional outdoor activities.
