Raccoon Ridge Campground
About this site
Raccoon Ridge Campground is a tent-focused camping area within Brown County State Park, managed by Indiana DNR. The campground sits along a ridgeline and serves as one of the park's quieter camping options. Sites are arranged around the outside of the loop with split-level design, featuring fire pits and tent areas positioned downhill from parking spots. Many sites include two picnic tables to accommodate the terrain. The campground provides both drive-in and walk-in access, though some roads to sites are rough. Facilities include pit toilets and a shower house. Electric hookup sites are available on the interior loop, with 20 Amp service. The campground provides access to Brown County's 200 miles of trails, including mountain biking singletrack and shared-use paths. Two man-made lakes offer fishing opportunities, and the park's Olympic-size pool is available to visitors. The loop maintains a reputation for being the quietest of the park's three camping areas. Reserve ahead during peak seasons, as the park's 480 total sites can fill quickly.
