Quartz Lake Campground offers three backcountry campsites along the shore of Quartz Lake in the Pasayten Wilderness, accessible only by an approximately 10-mile hike from the Slate Peak trailhead via the Quartz Lake Trail (Trail 498). The sites are suitable for tents only, with no vehicle access, and feature primitive conditions amid alpine terrain with stunning views of the North Cascades. Additional Info: - Permit required for overnight stays in the Pasayten Wilderness (self-issue at trailhead or ranger station). - No potable water, toilets, or other amenities; pack in/pack out all waste. - Popular for backpackers seeking solitude, fishing, and peak bagging.
