Putnam Pond Campground and Day Use Area is a scenic campground in the Adirondacks offering 72 campsites (9 remote), including large, private, well-forested sites accommodating tents to 30' RVs. It serves as a key access point for Pharaoh Lake Wilderness hiking, with opportunities for canoeing, boating, fishing, and pond access via boat launch and rentals (canoes, rowboats, kayaks). Amenities include hot showers, flush toilets, trailer dumping station, recycling center, picnic area, and firewood/ice sales. Remote sites R1-R9 are primitive with outhouses; most require boat access except R8-R9 (foot access). Operates May 15 to October 12. Additional Info: Camping fee: $18/night (+$5 out-of-state surcharge). Fires in provided rings using only dead/down wood. Generators may be restricted if loud. Pets allowed, alcohol permitted, reservable sites.
