Proud Lake Recreation Area Campground is a modern state campground within Proud Lake Recreation Area in Commerce Township, Michigan. The campground features 130 sites arranged in two loops, many with lake views or wooded settings. Each site has 30/20 amp electric power, with a few sites outfitted with 50 amp. Sites include fire pits, tables, and driveway lengths up to 74ft, with a maximum RV/trailer length of 40ft. The park has modern toilet and shower buildings (operating May 10–October 31), vault toilets year-round, a water and septic/dump station, and drinking water. Campers must bring their own potable water when the modern building is closed. The campground is located on the scenic Huron River and borders Proud Lake, offering boating access, fishing, paddling, and an extensive trail system. A Michigan Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry. Reservations are required and can be made at MiDNRReservations.com or by calling 1-800-447-2757. Check-in for camping is at 3 p.m., checkout at 1 p.m. Quiet hours are 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. (Memorial Day–Labor Day).
