Promontory Park Campground
About this site
Promontory Park is a family-friendly, alcohol-free campground on the North Fork Reservoir of the Clackamas River, built in the 1950s with renovated vintage charm. It offers tent sites, RV sites (standard non-electric $30/night, electric $34/night), yomes ($55/night), cabins ($75/night), and a reservable picnic shelter ($80). Features include flush toilets, hot showers, drinking water, electric hookups at select sites, sanitary dump, picnic tables, firewood, trash service, marina with boat launch, fishing docks, camp store, and pet-friendly sites (leash required). Sites are carved into hillsides among boulders, best for tents or compact RVs due to narrow winding roads. Open Friday before Memorial Day through second weekend in September; reservations start January online or March by phone/email. Additional Info: Operated by Portland General Electric. 21 standard sites, 6 electric sites, 4 yomes, 6 cabins.
