Potato Bottom Campground is a primitive backcountry camping area along the White Rim Road in Canyonlands National Park’s Island in the Sky district, situated along the banks of the Green River. It features three designated sites (A, B, and C), each accommodating up to three vehicles and 15 people, with sites spaced for privacy. Vault toilets are available. Access requires a high-clearance 4x4 vehicle and an overnight permit. Additional Info: Located at approximately 4,100 feet elevation with scenic views of the Green River, red rock cliffs, and cottonwood trees. No potable water, shade, or wind protection; bring all supplies including at least 1 gallon of water per person per day.
