Poso Campground
About this site
The campground climbs up a hillside above South Fork Creek among Spruce and Aspen trees. There are 8 sites. Fishing in area streams, mountain biking on forest roads. Fishing is possible in Cave Creek (just below campground), Poso Creek, South Fork Carnero Creek. Mountain biking can be enjoyed up to Coolbroth Canyon which leads to La Garita Trail and Geronimo Creek Trail. Big game hunting is also possible in this area. Additional Info: 8 single sites at $10 per night, first come first served. Picnic tables and fire rings at sites. Two vault toilets. Drinking water available. Maximum trailer length 25 feet. Dogs on leash (max 6 feet). No horses or pack animals. Pack in/pack out trash. Fires in designated rings only. Large group picnic area adjacent (day use, no fee). Seasonal access typically Memorial Day to early November, with road closures March 15-May 15.
