Pleasant Valley Pit Campground offers 75 RV/tent sites with a maximum recommended RV length of 30 feet. Sites include a fire pit, picnic table, and lantern holder. The campground is located in an old gravel pit with camping on two levels—one section in the pit itself and another on top, providing views of the Sierra. No hookups, potable water, or dump station available. Closest amenities are 12 miles south in Bishop. The campground features ADA-approved restrooms and bear-proof trash bins. First-come, first-served basis with a $5 per night fee. Camping is limited to 14 days at a time, not to exceed 28 days per calendar year. The area is popular with climbers and outdoor adventurers due to proximity to climbing areas and off-road trails.
