Pinewood Campground
About this site
MacKerricher State Park offers a variety of habitats; beach, bluff, headland, dune, forest and wetland. Tide pools are along the shore. Seals may be seen on the rocks off the park's coastline. More than 90 species of birds visit or live near Cleone Lake, a former tidal lagoon. During winter and spring, the nearby headland provides a good lookout for whale watching. The park is popular with hikers, joggers, equestrians and bicyclists. The park has a wheelchair accessible nature trail. Additional Info: Pine Campground refers to the Pinewood loops (East and West) in MacKerricher State Park, with over 140 sites for tents and RVs up to 35 feet. Amenities include hot showers, flush toilets, drinking water, dump station, picnic tables, and fire rings at each site. No hookups available. Reservations via ReserveCalifornia; some loops first-come first-served seasonally.

Awesome site so close to the ocean! Close to Fort Bragg for breweries and good food. Walk the 8 mile rail to trail path, mountain bike in the forest, or enjoy the beautiful campsite!

First come first serve in the winter! Has a nice path out to the bluff bike path/beach, showers, toilets, fire pits, picnic tables, and everything you need for a cozy campsite after a day of exploring the beautiful north coast.
