Pine Marten Campground
About this site
Pine Marten Campground is located in the Calaveras Ranger District at the east end of Lake Alpine Recreation Area in a timbered setting near several trailheads. Sitting at an elevation of 7,400 feet within the Stanislaus National Forest, the campground offers 32 sites nestled in a mature conifer forest with Sierra granite rocks throughout. Each campsite accommodates up to 6 people, 2 tents, and 2 vehicles, and includes a picnic table, campfire ring, and grill. The campground provides drinking water through spigots and vault toilets, with hot showers and laundromat services available at nearby Lake Alpine Resort. This is an older campground not designed for modern RVs, featuring narrow roads, tight turns, and numerous boulders and trees. Site driveways are asphalt paved but may not be level. The campground has no hookups or electricity. Additional Info: Bear boxes are available. Check-in 2pm, check-out 12pm. Quiet hours 10pm-6am. America the Beautiful Senior/Access passes accepted for discount.
