Pinal and Upper Pinal Campgrounds

Pinal and Upper Pinal Campgrounds are small primitive campgrounds tucked away in tall stands of ponderosa pines and white fir in the Pinal Mountains of Tonto National Forest, about 14.5 miles southwest of Globe, Arizona. Pinal has 13 units and Upper Pinal has 3 units, for a total of 16 sites. Access is via 10 miles of narrow winding unpaved Forest Road 651, suitable for sedans and trailers under 16 feet in dry conditions. No water, trash, or electric services are provided; pack out trash and bring your own water. Vault toilets and campfire rings are available. Open year-round weather permitting, though access road may be impassable in winter snow. 14-day stay limit. Quiet hours 10pm-6am.
