Pila Montoya 1
About this site
Pila Montoya 1 is a primitive drive-up campsite within Big Bend Ranch State Park in far west Texas. The site is located in a remote high desert setting along the Rio Grande with rugged mountains and steep canyons. Non-potable water is provided on-site, located approximately 1/4 mile from campsites 1-7. The park features 238 miles of multiuse trails, excellent wildlife viewing opportunities including mountain lions, mule deer, and bighorn sheep, and over 300 bird species. Day-use access to the Rio Grande/Rio Bravo corridor offers opportunities for rafting, canoeing, fishing, and picnicking.
