About this site
Picket Lake is a remote, quiet 316 acre backcountry lake with 5.7 miles of shoreline in Superior National Forest. There are 3 designated backcountry campsites on the lake. Access requires a short portage from a beaver pond near the parking lot. Each site has fire rings, tent pads, and latrines. Group size limit is 9 people per site, with group sites available at some locations. Restrooms and potable water are not available at the trailhead. Overnight parking is allowed. Pack out all garbage.
