Pickerel Lake (Kalkaska) State Forest Campground has 13 primitive campsites along the shores of Pickerel Lake, suitable for tents and small trailers/RVs. Each site includes a table, fire ring, and grill. Amenities include drinking water hand pump, vault toilets, trash collection, and a small gravel boat ramp. The campground is first-come, first-served and open year-round, though seasonal roads are not plowed in winter. Additional Info: Surrounded by forested terrain with access to ORV trails, North Country Trail, boating, fishing, hiking, and nearby state land for hunting and OHV activities.
