Phyllis Lake
About this site
Phyllis Lake Provincial Recreation Area is a scenic foothills lake campground located 33 km south of Rocky Mountain House on Highway 22 and 7 km west on Highway 591 in central Alberta. There are 21 unserviced, first-come-first-served campsites suitable for both RVs and tents, most of which are open and face the lake. The campground features hand water pumps, fire pits, outhouses, picnic tables, garbage containers, and fish cleaning stations. Water from hand pumps is not guaranteed to be potable; visitors should bring their own drinking water. The lake is suited to canoeing, fishing, and boating with electric-powered motors only. A hand boat launch and dock are available. The area offers views of the Canadian Rockies and Banff National Park to the west on clear days.
