Beaverhead National Forest Pettengill Campground is a small 3-site campground located 10 miles south of Wise River on Pioneer Mountains Scenic Byway Road 73, where Wise River meets Pettengill Creek. Named after early homesteader George Pettingill, the 'Wild Man of the Mountains'. Offers tent and standard tent/RV sites with drive-in access, picnic tables, toilets, fires allowed, pets allowed, and alcohol permitted. Surrounded by forested terrain and mountain views, near Big Hole River for fishing and scenic drives/hiking.
