Peterson Lake Campground is a secluded campground in Tongass National Forest near Juneau, Alaska. The campground features 3-4 vehicle-accessible sites with picnic tables and fire pits. Amenities include clean bathrooms and trash facilities. The area is popular for fishing (trout, steelhead, coho and pink salmon in Peterson Creek), wildlife viewing including floatplanes landing on the lake, and hiking refuge trails. The campground is surrounded by dense forest and mountainous terrain. Nearby attractions include Mendenhall Glacier and scenic trails in the Juneau area. Cell service is not available at the campground.
