Primitive camping areas are accessible by drive-in, hike-in, or walk-in, with many sites located along the Peace River. It is popular with ATV and off-road vehicle enthusiasts, with extensive trail systems throughout the property. Primitive area sites operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Alligators inhabit the river year-round, with increased activity during spring mating season.
