About this site
Patos Island is a wild and remote 200-acre island in the Salish Sea, the northwestern-most point in the lower 48 states. It features limited primitive campsites and mooring buoys in Active Cove on a first-come, first-served basis. Accessible only by watercraft. No fresh water available on site. Recreational activities include hiking, camping, boating, sea kayaking, wildlife viewing, and wildflower viewing. Composting toilets available. Seven primitive campsites and a picnic area. Patos Island Lighthouse provides scenic and historic interest. Additional Info: Managed cooperatively by BLM and Washington State Parks. East side designated as wilderness.
