Patos Island Campsite 3 is one of seven primitive campsites located near Active Cove beach on Patos Island, a 200-acre island in the Salish Sea managed cooperatively by BLM and Washington State Parks. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. The island is accessible only by watercraft with limited mooring buoys on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no potable water, garbage service, or other amenities; pack out all waste. Facilities include composting toilets and over two miles of hiking trails. Open year-round. Additional Info: Patos Island is the northwestern-most point in the lower 48 states, featuring the historic Patos Island Lighthouse and scenic views of surrounding mountains.
