Painted Canyon Dispersed Camping
About this site
One of the many dispersed camping spots along the canyon. A bathroom is available a short walk away from this site. Canyon ends in the Painted Canyon / Ladder hike. The hike looked to be very popular so go early. Enjoyed camping in the canyon, pretty good stargazing and was quiet in the mornings and nights. Sign at the beginning of the road says 4x4 only but anything can make it, saw Audis and Prius out there. If planning to go off the main road, walk the area first and check the sand, it gets soft and sandy fast.
