About this site

This small fishing park is located at the bridge separating Matagorda Bay with Oyster Lake. It's too small for large trailers and motorhomes, and better suited for vans, truck campers, and small trailers. There are no amenities here, not even trash cans. Additional Info: Oyster Lake Park is a small park at the end of Oyster Lake Road, about 9 miles south of Collegeport. It provides access to fish West Matagorda Bay and Oyster Lake and is part of The Great Texas Birding Trail. There are no facilities or usage fee. The road is rough but passable by any vehicle. Currents can be swift in the channel, especially on a falling tide. Suitable for shoreline fishing or kayak launch into shallow Oyster Lake.
