Oyster Bay Chickee #2 is a backcountry chickee camping platform in Everglades National Park, positioned just off the Wilderness Waterway near Whitewater Bay, about 18 miles north of Flamingo. It features an elevated 10' x 12' wooden platform with a roof and a nearby self-contained portable toilet. Access is by non-motorized watercraft or small motors up to 5.5 HP. Freestanding tents are required as stakes are not permitted. Reservations are required via recreation.gov. Additional Info: Elevated over water in mangrove surroundings; eastward facing into prevailing winds. No-see-ums present at dusk and dawn.
