Owyhee North Fork Campground
About this site
A small popular semi-developed site offers camping and picnicking in the scenic beauty of the North Fork of the Owyhee River Canyon, much of which was designated Wilderness in March 2009. The area features dramatic rhyolite monoliths and pinnacle formations. There are seven campsites, each with a picnic table, fire grate, and concrete pad. A vault toilet is available. There is no potable water at this site. The campground is accessed via the Owyhee Uplands Backcountry Byway, a remote backcountry road that may require high-clearance vehicles and can be impassable during wet conditions or winter weather. Campers should come prepared for a remote backcountry experience. Seven day camping limit. Use season: spring, summer and fall.
