Orilla Verde Campground

Orilla Verde Recreation Area is a BLM-managed campground area along the Rio Grande in the Rio Grande Gorge near Pilar, New Mexico. It consists of multiple individual campgrounds including Rio Bravo, Taos Junction, Arroyo Hondo, Petaca, and others, offering riverside camping with access to hiking, fishing, and rafting. Sites are first-come, first-served with fees required. Amenities vary by campground but include flush toilets, showers, drinking water, picnic tables, and some electric hookups. Additional Info: Located at approximately 6,100 feet elevation within the Rio Grande del Norte National Monument. No dispersed camping; only designated paid sites.
