Oowah Lake Campground
About this site
Oowah Lake Campground sits at 8800 ft. elevation in the spectacular La Sal mountains. There are 11 tent-only first come/ first serve campsites next to the small but scenic Oowah Lake. Trailhead access from the campground includes the Clarks Lake, Boren Mesa, Moonlight Meadows, and Warner Lake trails. Hike a short distance for spectacular vistas of the Canyonlands region. There is also a day-use area with three large picnic tables. Fishing is also popular at this mountain lake. Additional Info: Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. Vault toilets are available but no potable water. Access via 2.5-mile winding gravel road (Forest Road 076). Snow and snowmelt affect access seasonally at this high elevation.
