Old Mill Campground
About this site
The Old Mill Campground is a small park area, with mature trees and a gravel road looping through, along the Smoky Hill River. Located at 600 Old Mill Road in Lindsborg, it has twelve 30-amp and six 50-amp electrical hook-ups and a large area suitable for tent camping. Campsites are generally on a first-come, first-served basis. We ONLY take reservations for Svensk Hyllningsfest in October of odd-numbered years and Midsummer’s Festival in June. (Follow the event links for upcoming dates.) We DO NOT reserve specific slots at the campground. Campers check in at the main museum building. There is a shelter house available for picnics and gatherings. The shelter house may be reserved for use by camping groups. There is no water available at the campground site, but city water is available outside the museum office. The campgrounds have NO sewer service available. Long-term stays are discouraged because of our service limitations. Dogs of responsible pet owners are allowed. Please clean up after your pets and keep them on a leash outside. Picnic tables and grills are available. Fires are restricted to the fire ring and on gravel only. Digging new fire pits is prohibited. $12 per night without electric hook-up $15 per night with electric hook-up Rates are per camping unit. A camping unit is defined as one camper, RV or tent. Contact the museum office at 785-227-3595 for more information. For your convenience, you can pay for your stay by cash or check at the museum main office (120 E. Mill St. – across the footbridge), 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday – Saturday, or online anytime via PAYPAL or VENMO.
