Additional Info: Oak Ridge Trailhead is located on an old drill pad near the end of Forest Road 032 (FR-032) at an elevation of nearly 8,700 feet in Fishlake National Forest. Facilities include a vault restroom, information kiosk, and gravel parking area. The site is atop a windswept ridge surrounded by aspen and mixed conifer trees. Popular nearby activities include the Great Western Trail for 50" ATVs, horseback riding, hiking, dispersed camping, hunting, and wildlife viewing. Camping stay limit is 16 days/15 nights; after that, relocate at least 5 road miles away. Pack out what you pack in. Follow local fire restrictions. All motorized travel restricted to designated routes. Picnic tables not available. Open May to November, 24 hours/day. Access: Exit I-70 at Gooseberry Road (Exit 63), south on County Road 640 for 10.6 miles, left on FR032 for 3 miles.
