North Trout Lake Campground is a family‑friendly campground located in the Northern Highland‑American Legion State Forest on the northeast corner of Trout Lake in northern Wisconsin. The campground offers 48 sites, including double sites, tent‑walk‑in only sites, and RV sites, many with lakefront views. There are three vault toilet buildings (all ADA accessible), three hand‑pump water stations, a sanitary dump station, separate trash and recycling dumpsters, a large water‑access area, and a boat launch with parking. The campground is known for its quiet, secluded setting, good swimming, excellent fishing and boating, and access to nature and biking trails. Additional Info: The campground is part of the Northern Highland‑American Legion State Forest and is managed by the Wisconsin DNR. It is suitable for tent camping and RV camping, with no showers or flush toilets but with clean vault toilets and hand‑pump drinking water. The site is popular for families and outdoor recreation, including hiking, biking, and boating.
