About this site

North Puyallup River Camp is a designated backcountry campsite in Mount Rainier National Park along the North Puyallup River drainage. It serves as a remote overnight stop for backpackers on the Wonderland Trail, accessible via strenuous multi-day hikes such as from South Mowich River Camp (22.5 miles total, 4920' elevation gain). The site is at the end of an abandoned road and offers spacious tent areas near a stream (300m to the left), wild strawberries, and views/sounds of a nearby waterfall or glacier. A primitive restroom is available. Permits required for overnight stays in the park.
