North Pole Road Site #2 is a dispersed camping spot along Forest Road 287 in Black Hills National Forest, near Custer, South Dakota. The area features firm-packed dirt and gravel roads suitable for full-sized RVs and large previously-used campsites. Dispersed camping is allowed up to 300 feet off the center of the road per USFS Motor Vehicle Use Map rules. No services are available; pack in and pack out. Fires are not allowed. Additional Info: Free first-come-first-served camping on government land. Accessible via gravel road, approximately 7.5 miles from downtown Custer.
