About this site

North Beach is one of four dispersed camping areas in Padre Island National Seashore. A permit is required to camp here, but the permit is free and can be obtained at the information kiosk on site. In addition, there is a park entrance fee that must be paid at the gate. You can buy a 1-day, 7-day, or year pass. An Interagency Pass works here too. Additional Info: North Beach offers primitive beachfront dispersed camping accessible by 4x4 vehicles on the beach. Camping is free with a free permit, limited to 14 nights. Park entrance fee required ($10 per vehicle for 1 day, $25 for 7 days, or $80 annual pass as of latest info). No facilities including water, showers, or toilets; pack out all waste. Fires allowed below high tide line with restrictions. Suitable for tents and RVs up to approximately 37 feet with proper vehicle capabilities.
