Dispersed camping area in Mark Twain National Forest near Willow Springs, Missouri. Two primitive camping areas available year-round: old Oak Hill camping area across from Noblett Trailhead and old Sycamore Loop camping area below dam. Both offer pull-in campsites with vault toilets but no water, electricity, or other developed amenities. The recreation area is set in oak and pine forests on the Salem Plateau. Popular for fishing, boating (electric trolling motors or non-motorized boats only), canoeing, hiking, and wildlife viewing. Ridge Runner Trail, a 22-mile remote hiking path, loops through the scenic Ozark Mountains.
