Nine Point Draw (NP-1) is the closest primitive roadside campsite to the Persimmon Gap Visitor Center in Big Bend National Park. It accommodates 2 vehicles (including trailers), 8 people, and 4 horses. Maximum vehicle length is 30 feet with adequate turnaround space. Offers nice views, solitude, and a small flat gravel space to set up camp next to your vehicle. No shade, toilets, water, or other amenities provided. Generators prohibited. Backcountry permit required, reservable up to 180 days in advance via recreation.gov.
