Nine Mile Meadow

Nine Mile Meadow is Yellowstone National Park backcountry campsite 8C2, accessible via hiking trails such as from South Entrance trailhead (8K7), approximately 9 miles away. A backcountry permit is required year-round for overnight stays at all designated backcountry campsites. Group sizes limited to 4-12 people; stays 1-3 nights. No pets on trails. Campfires allowed only in established fire rings at designated sites. Food must be stored 100 yards from sleeping areas using bear-resistant containers or food poles. Additional Info: Located in remote southeast Yellowstone area with bear management considerations; travel in groups of 3 or more recommended.
