Nick’s Nook Family Campground is located near the coastal plains of North Carolina, featuring flat terrain with scattered trees. The area experiences temperatures ranging from the 30s in winter to the 90s in summer. Nearby attractions include the Cliffs of the Neuse State Park and the city of Goldsboro, offering opportunities for hiking and exploring local history. We are a diamond in the rough and love hosting tent campers as well as RV’s and motor homes. Camping is available on a daily or weekly basis. We have several full hook up spots available. We also have a nice clean bathroom with full walk in shower for those tent campers. All spots include a private fire pit, picnic table, fire wood and free coffee (bring your own cup). We have kids activities on Saturdays. And community fires at the big firepit on Saturday evenings. We will be installing a pond in the spring. There is a small stream on property and the Cape Fear River is less than a mile with a boat dock and great fishing. Chinquapin is located only 40 minutes from the NC beaches. This is a wonderful, QUIET spot to camp. Wildlife wanders through our camp at will. Eagles fly overhead. We have a small camp store/ gift shop for your Convenience. Relaxed check in and check out times are also nice to have.
