Newport News Park offers year-round camping at 188 campsites arranged throughout natural woodlands. Campsites include electrical and water hookups, paved parking pads, picnic tables, grills, and fire rings. Each campsite loop has a separate facilities building with hot showers and flush toilets. The park features laundry facilities, a camper store, 24-hour security, and a centralized sewage disposal system. Pets are welcome with rabies certificate required at check-in. Additional Info: The 7,500+ acre park offers hiking, biking, mountain biking, boating, kayaking, canoeing, paddle-boarding, fishing, archery, and wildlife viewing. Amenities include an 18-hole championship disc golf course, 30-acre aeromodel flying field, boat and bicycle rentals, a Discovery Center, and Japanese Peace Garden. The park is located minutes from Williamsburg and a short drive to Norfolk and Virginia Beach.
