Nerstrand Big Woods State Park Campground offers 52 drive-in sites with picnic tables, fire rings, and grills. 27 sites have 30-amp electric hookups; others are primitive. Additional amenities include modern restrooms, showers (seasonal, May–October), drinking water spigots, dump station, playground, and overflow parking. Four tent-only walk-in sites and three group sites (16, 24, 32 people) with primitive toilets are available. Most sites accommodate RVs up to 60 feet; some up to 70 feet. Pets allowed on leash. Reservations required via Recreation.gov or phone. Seasonal operation; closed winter. Park features spring wildflowers, Hidden Falls, 11 miles of hiking trails, and fall colors. Additional Info: Park permit required: $7 daily or $35 annual. Camping fees separate. Quiet hours 10 p.m.–8 a.m. Firewood must be purchased on-site or from approved vendors.
