Nefertiti Rapid Recreation Site
About this site
Nefertiti Recreation Area is approximately 16 miles from Green River, UT down Hastings Road. The site serves as a boat access point on the Green River's Wild and Scenic River segment. The 8.5-mile recreational river section from Nefertiti to Swasey's Boat Ramp features fantastic desert canyon country scenery, class I and II rapids, and opportunities to view bighorn sheep on surrounding cliffs. A short hike from the river's edge leads to ancient petroglyphs. No permit is required for day use or camping in this section.
