Nadina Lake Recreation Site
About this site
Located near Houston this 5 unit, semi-open, forested campsite is set on an old mill site along the north shore of Nadina Lake. The access road is narrow and may have down trees due to dead pine stand, it may be prohibitive for RV/trailer units. Nadina Lake is a large lake with a wide variety of fish species, including sockeye salmon that make the incredible journey up from the ocean to spawn from Aug-Oct. There is a DFO facility and man made spawning channels nearby which may or may not be open to the public. Due to the spawning channel and spawning salmon, there can be high concentrations of bears here Aug-Oct. There are also several hiking trails nearby, look up Houston Hikers website for some ideas: https://houstonhikers.ca/. The campsite has a small boat launch and the lake is popular for boating and fishing. The road is often busy with logging traffic, a VHF radio with Resource Road channels is recommended for travel here. Please be sure to purchase a fishing licence and consult the BC Freshwater Fishing Regulations Synopsis for limits, special regulations and closures: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/assets/gov/sports-recreation-arts-and-culture/outdoor-recreation/fishing-and-hunting/freshwater-fishing/region_6_skeena.pdf
