Mystic Beach Campsite
About this site
Mystic Beach Campground is a hike-in beach camping area located along the Juan de Fuca Marine Trail on the west coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. The campsite is approximately 1.5 hours from the trailhead via a trail that winds through dense coastal forest, crosses boardwalks, and includes a suspension bridge. The beach features an impressive waterfall cascading down from the cliffs directly onto the sand. On clear days, Olympic National Park mountains are visible across the Juan de Fuca Strait. The campground has designated camping areas with 2-3 sheltered spots behind bushes on the northern section of the beach, and additional flatter camping spots on the rock beach. Recent renovations added 10 raised tent platforms. Facilities include a pit toilet only; no showers or potable water. Water must be obtained from streams and purified before drinking. Overnight camping cost is $10 per adult and $5 per child. Registration forms are available at the parking lot.
