Mule Mountain LTVA is a BLM Long Term Visitor Area (LTVA) in the lower Colorado Desert of eastern Riverside County, California, offering extended seasonal camping for self-contained RVs and trailers. It includes designated campgrounds at Coon Hollow and Wiley's Well. A Special Recreation Permit is required from September 15 to April 15 ($180 for 7 months); free camping allowed April 16 to September 14 with 14-day limit. Campers must be 100% self-contained for waste and graywater except within 500 feet of vault toilets. Vault toilets available. No water, showers, hookups, or services in off-season. Located near Colorado River, Bradshaw Trail, and rockhounding sites.
