Mule Mountain LTVA is a BLM Long Term Visitor Area (LTVA) in Riverside County, California, offering long-term desert camping for self-contained RVs and trailers. Designated sites are available at Wiley's Well and Coon Hollow campgrounds. A Special Recreation Permit ($180) is required from September 15 to April 15; free camping allowed April 16 to September 14 with 14-day limit. Campers must be 100% self-contained except within 500 feet of vault toilets. Vault toilets available. No showers, water, hookups, or services off-season. Pack in/pack out. Managed by BLM Palm Springs Field Office.
