Mud Springs Campground
About this site
Mud Springs Campground is a small BLM-managed campground located at 8,400 feet elevation in Glade Park, Colorado. The campground features 13 first-come, first-served sites nestled in aspen groves. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring, and grill. Amenities include vault toilets and potable water (seasonal availability depends on drought cycles and spring-fed system conditions). A graded gravel road winds 2.8 miles from pavement to reach the campground; the washboard surface can become muddy after rain. The elevation provides cooler temperatures during summer months, though afternoon thunderstorms occur frequently in July. Cell coverage is limited, with Verizon and AT&T providing weak signals. Wildlife, including deer, moves through camp regularly. The campground is open mid-May to early November depending on weather conditions.
